I've recently run across two fabulously hilarious blogs, STFU Marrieds and STFU Parents. All about the annoying Facebook updates too often posted by sappy married people and parents. I think all of us are guilty of ridiculous Facebook status updates sometimes, but when they are all put together in these blogs, it's impossible not to see how silly, and quite possibly irritating, it is for others.

I would add one more: STFU Teachers. I love my teacher friends dearly, and I have a lot of them. But omg, the last two months of the school year nearly drive me from Facebook with all the countdowns and commenting on how hard the job is and how awful the kids are. If you hate the kids that much, there are other jobs out there. Yeah, you'll have to work in the summer and might not get every holiday off work, but those little brats and their parents and their papers wouldn't have to be part of your life either.
Ok, end of rant. Teacher friends, I do love you. I just don't love the countdowns, so please stop so I don't have to create a separate blog just for you.

Hehe. I've totally been thinking about blogging about this. I don't think I'll go quite that far since I'm pretty sure I would make one of my readers cry, and I don't want to lose one of my five readers. :) But I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one.
I have one Facebook friend in particular who is guilty of both --it is so gross when she polls other moms via a status update about the best breast pump to use. Ick!
